The Winnipeg Goldeyes released Pitcher Brian Leach. Leach has an 11.74 ERA in three appearances so far this season, including one start.

The American Association has suspened Goldeyes outfielder and DH Jon Weber two games, and first baseman Yurendell de Caster for one game for being ejected following an altercation in the 8th inning of Saturday's game in El Paso. Both players will miss the Goldeyes' home opener Tuesday night at 7 o'clock at Shaw Park.
