Canada needs only one more victory to qualify for the Olympics in men's volleyball after defeating Puerto Rico in five sets Friday night at the NORCECA qualifying tournament.
Canada won the semifinal 22-25, 25-23, 19-25, 25-23, 15-11 and will face the winner of the semi-final between the defending Olympic gold medallist the U.S. and Cuba.
Canada is looking for its first Olympic berth since 1992 in men's volleyball.
Fred Winters led Canada with 18 kills. Gavin Schmidt added 13 kills while Justin Duff had 10 kills and three blocks.
