Manitoba's Jennifer Jones  secured first place Thursday afternoon at the Canadian women's curling championship in Red Deer, Alberta   with their 8th victory  and then Thursday night   made it win number   9    after a 5-3 victory over Ontario.  Her record was 9-2..  

In other final round games..     B.C won their game 7-6  over New Brunswick  to finish at 8-3..  

Quebec's Marie-France Larouche  was tied for third place with Alberta  at 7-4..

Manitoba faces B-C in the one-versus-two Page Playoff Friday night, with the winner moving to Sunday's final.  Quebec and
Alberta  will meet Saturday.
