This year’s recipients include NHL players, a CFL legend, Olympians, national champions, provincial champions and sport builders who have all been integral in shaping Manitoba’s sport community.
On November 7, 2009, seven athletes, two builders and two teams will be inducted into the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame at the 30th Annual Induction Ceremonies. The 2009 inductees are:

The Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame and Museum has inducted 412 members since it was established in 1980. “These twelve recipients join an exclusive group of Manitoba’s best in sport,” says Jeoff Chipman, President of the Hall of Fame’s Board of Directors. “We work hard to preserve, celebrate and showcase the history and heritage of sport excellence and achievement and these twelve have earned their place in Manitoba’s sport history.”
“Sport heroes are ordinary people doing extraordinary things,” says Jeff Hnatiuk, President and CEO of Sport Manitoba, “Sport Manitoba takes pride in recognizing their achievements.”
The Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame and Museum is a registered charitable organization managed by a volunteer Board of Directors.
Sport Manitoba is a not for profit organization and the lead planning, programming and funding agency for the development of amateur sport in Manitoba.
