Ground has officially been broken on a new home for the Winnipeg Police Canine Unit.
The facility will be 45 hundred square feet and cost 1.25 million dollars. Construction has been delayed several times before now. Chief McCaskill said that was down to a couple reasons
It will be at the East District Police Station off Dugald Road. Construction should take about a year...until then the dogs will continue living with their officers.
