If you’ve got a job interview coming up, it’s probably not a bad idea to have a thank you message ready to rock post-interview.
A recent survey of Canadian human resources managers showed almost half take thank you notes into account when hiring employees.
On the other end of that, only 28 per cent of interviewees actually send thank you notes. Clearly I’m not the only one who didn’t know this was thing..
So if you send a thank-you do you still need to follow-up? Yes. Yes you do. And they say it’s best to do so within 24 hours.
So if you want that job; be sure to send a thank-you (most managers prefer a thank-you by email), pick up that phone the next day, be a little bit of a kiss ass (don’t overdo it), and score that job!
