We are one week away from the Foo Fighters latest release Concrete and Gold (out 9.15) and the cat’s out of the bag. The “biggest pop star in the world” that’s appearing on their new album is none other than Sexy Back himself, Mr Jessica Biel… I mean, Mr. Justin Timberlake.
Before we debate the virtues and vices of this choice we’ll spin you a sample.
Ok, now you can discuss.
Gonna throw some Slayer your way because you can never get enough. And in case you were wondering, Kerry King doesn’t really give a #@!* about trendy celebs wearing Slayer shirts: “Is it weird? Yes. Is it humbling? Yes. Do I know which ones are real and which ones aren’t? Not a clue” he says.
In that Slayer interview linked above, King also talks about kids not having enough guitar role models. Well one group of youngsters at Los Rios Rock School might just prove him wrong. They recorded Van Halen’s 1978 self-titled debut album, in the same studio where VH originally recorded, IN ONE DAY! These kids can shred man.
And poor James Hetfield took a tumble in Amsterdam last week. Let’s watch shall we?
