Get LOUD with us tonight on the POWER HOUR!
Since the untimely passing of Chester Bennington, Linkin Park’s music has been seeing a huge resurgence on the rock charts. In fact, with 23 songs on the Billboard’s Hot Rock Chart they’ve surpassed the record set when David Bowie passed. Tributes continue to pour in from the unlikeliest of sources including Motionless in White (One Step Closer) and Coldplay (Crawling). Yup, you read that right. Coldplay. But don’t worry, we’re not going soft on you. We’re not playing those tracks, you’ll hear the original on the show tonight. No imitations.
We kick off the show this evening with Loud from Motionless in White.
We’ve also got Black Is The Soul from Korn, who are tied into the Bennington situation in a rather unfortunate way. Korn was recently honoured with the Vanguard Award at the Alternative Press Music Award for their 25 years of head-banging, guitar shredding contributions. Oh, and you’re probably going to want to check out this short doc on their 12 year old bassist.
Nothing More have a new album coming our way on September 15th called The Stories We Tell Ourselves. They teased us with the lyric video for Let Em Burn and tonight we’ll play Go To War which has a pretty great video. If you’re into acoustic stuff, or just feeling a lil sentimental you can also check out Just Say When which was just released today.
