Is it just me or does the sun not setting until well after ten just make a body feel good?
Must be all this sunshine.
Here’s what we talked about on the show tonight while I was filling in for Fred.
Another Canada 150 Beer: Innis & Gunn 150 Maple & Thistle Rye Ale “Brewed to celebrate Canada’s 150th anniversary of Confederation.” Matured in 150 barrels for 150 days, featuring a splash of Canadian maple syrup and a pinch of wild Scottish thistle. 500-ml bottles available at Liquor Marts and some beer vendors for $9.99, Will also be available at this weekend’s Flatlander’s Beer Festival, but more on that in a minute.
Nitro Circus is in town tomorrow. Tickets are $40-$100. It’s like the circus meets the X-Games.
Timeraiser – Win art by volunteering for causes you care about. One week from today at the Graffiti Gallery.
New Headstones came out this week. It’s good to know they’re still rockin’. Great review in the paper today “a healthy blast of unpretentious, guitar-based rock ’n’ roll and a fully realized expression of what the Headstones could and should have been years ago.” Four stars according to this review.
I have always wanted to go on a canoe ride (or would it be trip? journey?) from one end of the city to the other. So glad to hear about Twin River Travel. Guided tours, they provide everything.
Uh, yeah, so there’s a Pirate Party this weekend… I don’t know if I need to say more, other than the people watching is surely worth the price of admission.
USS and Jonathan Roy will be playing at the Ex next weekend June 17th. I’ll be there. Will you be there? When’s the last time you even went to the Ex?
Wanna (punk) rock out this weekend? Plenty of opportunity to do that. Especially tomorrow. YAY! Weekend!
The Flatlander’s Beer Festival is this weekend. Three public tastings for $45 ($40 if you’re up for some day drinkin’).
See ya’ tomorrow! (I’m filling in for Stone, while he goes off to see Tool… That luckysoandso…)
