It was an awesome vibe inside MTS Centre last night as the Winnipeg Jets played host to the San Jose Sharks. The mood was set early when the elderly Roy Forbes ( a gold medallist) helped with the ceremonial puck drop at center ice. He was greeted with a long thunderous standing ovation.
Another memorable moment happened after the game when many members of our military were brought down for a group picture on the ice. Even after a loss, many Jets players came back out on the ice to pose for pics and sign autographs. They were out there till almost 11:00pm.
Classy and truly professional conduct from these young athletes and the organization. Win or lose I’m proud to be a Jets fan!
