The CEO of a marketing company called SteelHouse in California is the best boss ever.
The company has about 250 employees and it’s next to impossible to get a job there. Why? Because no one ever quits.
The main reason people stick around is because back in 2011, the CEO started giving people a BONUS if they took a vacation.
Whenever someone uses their vacation days to go on a trip, he reimburses them up to $2,000 for the cost of their vacation. That’s a total of $500,000 a year he’s spending across the entire company. Way to go, boss.
And if they don’t take a vacation, no bonus. Quote, “I actually want you go to somewhere and enjoy yourself.”
He says doing the whole vacation thing has completely transformed the company. The employees are insanely productive and happy because they’re able to recharge on a PAID vacation.
Since he started the policy, five years ago, only five out of the 250 employees have left the company. Sign me up!
