A woman from the Ottawa is facing charges after she apparently dressed up as her 73-year-old mom and took a driving test on her mom’s behalf.
An instructor at DriveTest centre became suspicious of the woman when she showed up for the test. She was in a wig, glasses, and clothing that looked like it was for an elderly woman. The instructor was on to her right away…
The instructor passed on his suspicion to a supervisor and while the woman and instructor were doing the test the supervisor called the police.
“It turned out she was taking the driver’s test on behalf of her mother, and had told the officers she did that because her mother was nervous about taking her test,” said one of the police officer. “So she was trying to do her mother a favor so that she could have her driver’s license extended.”
The woman was arrested and charged with one count of impersonating with intent. So needless to say, charges for daughter and no license for mom. Oops!
