Labatt Breweries is supplying evacuees from the wildfires with water.
The brewer is delivering 2,016 cases or 48,000 cans of emergency drinking water to residents and firefighters affected by the fires in Saskatchewan, Alberta and B.C.
The first trucks with water will arrive in Cold Lake, Alberta on Wednesday and the brewery is coordinating with the three provinces on where shipments should go.
Labatt’s established the disaster relief program in 2012 specifically for events like this where people are in need of drinking water.
This is their third donation under the disaster relief program. In the summers of 2013 and 2014 they donated drinking water to Alberta and Manitoba while we were experiencing some flooding. Good job Labatt!
