RCMP say a new tactic used in Steinbach worked out well with a number of tickets and warnings handed out.
Two officers stationed themselves at an intersection last week. One held a sign that said “I’m not homeless. RCMP police looking for distracted drivers.” Although you may notice the word ‘not’ is quite small…
One officer held the sign and one would check vehicles at the intersection and issue tickets. Over two hours, nine tickets were handed out to people on their phones, not wearing seat belts, etc.
So the question is, is this a fair tactic since their stating their with the RCMP and technically not posing as homeless people to give out fines? Hmmmm…

Two window tint warnings
