This $140-million project would include a 40-storey apartment tower as well as the $35 million recladding of 360 Main, which is the 30-storey office tower formerly known as the Trizec Building.
The announcement of the project is expected as early as sometime in April, but the word has clearly gotten out.
The tower would hit at least three of the four goals set out in the 2011 Downtown Residential Development Strategy.
❚ Increase the population of the downtown.
❚ Create dense residential clusters.
❚ Promote residential buildings/neighbourhoods in order to develop a downtown that reflects the income diversity of the the City.
