Lemmy Kilmister was laid to rest on Saturday with a funeral service at the Los Angeles’ Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Dave Grohl ended the service with an emotional eulogy which talked about the first time he ever met Lemmy at a Los Angeles strip club.
Unfortunately, at 1:52 of the eulogy, the audio kicks out. Dave Grohl introduced himself to Lemmy, who was playing a video game, stating that he was from the band Foo Fighters and that he was a member of Nirvana. Before the audio kicks out Grohl says “…and he looked up from his video game and the first thing he said to me was, he said…” We don’t hear Lemmy’s response on the video but according to those at the service, Lemmy responded with “Sorry about your friend Kurt“.
