When you look at some of the bands and artists in the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame, you may think ‘How are they in there and not Bon Jovi’? You’re not lone, because Jon Bon Jovi is sort of wondering the same thing.
The band became eligible for the Hall of Fame back in 2009, but for some reason has been ignored for the past six years. Bon Jovi isn’t upset, but he says “It would be nice to be in a club with Elvis and the Beatles and the Stones.” The band is a part of the Songwriters Hall Of Fame, which Bon Jovi says the band is extremely honoured about because it means they’re good writers, not just that they sold a certain amount of records.
In order to be nominated for the 2016 Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame the band or artist must have released their album or single is 1990 or earlier. The nominees for 2016 include Nine Inch Nails, N.W.A, the Smiths, Deep Purple, Janet Jackson, Chic, Steve Miller, Chicago, Chaka Khan, the Spinners, Cheap Trick, the Cars, the J.B.’s, Los Lobos and Yes.
Bon Jovi plans to release a brand new album next year and follow it up with a world tour.
