A pair of YouTube pranksters have admitted faking a surveillance video that showed the destruction of the hitchhiking Canadian robot hitchBOT. While the robot was still destroyed in Philadelphia, people were trying to find footage of what happened, which gave YouTube star Jesse Wellens of PrankvsPrank and his friend Ed Bassmaster an idea to fake the footage. News organizations around the world to ran their faked footage, making pranksters sing their praises. HitchBOT was only two weeks into its first tour across the U.S. when it was destroyed.
