Last year Phil Rudd threatened his employees with DEATH after his solo album was released… and failed.
Police went to his house and found some meth and a bunch of weed.
He ended up getting charged with threatening murder and drug possession.
Today he got sentenced to 8 months of house detention at his home in Tauranga, New Zealand.
As you can see, there’s no Rudd in this photo…
Their current drummer (and the guy behind the kit for much of the 90s) is Chris Slade and is not pictured.
Phil pleaded guilty and could’ve seen a sentence of seven years in jail. He could still get some jail time if he breaches the conditions of his detention.
Phil needs to keep off the booze and drugs and will be electronically monitored to make sure he doesn’t leave his house.
AC/DC is on a world tour without Rudd… and they have not invited him out to the New Zealand shows later this year.
